The Thailand Covenant Church (TCC) is an affiliation of local churches and para-church organizations. It is working to spread the Gospel of Christ in four geographical areas of Thailand: Udon Thani and Roi Et in the Northeast, Chiang Mai in the North, and Bangkok.
The relationship between the TCC and its member organizations can be illustrated here. The TCC is in the center of the four geographical areas through which all efforts are directed. For organizational purposes, the TCC is divided into ten districts.
Several Thai organizations support the work of the church in these areas while in turn foreign missionaries assist these Thai organizations. There are foreign churches which directly support the work. The connections and the direction of support is very important in the spread of their task in the country.
The TCC is directed by a board. Each of the ten church districts and from each of the seven additional organizations has their representative in the board.

Church of Christ in Thailand
The Church of Christ in Thailand (CCT) has the honor of being the primary companion of the ELCA in Thailand. The CCT was founded in 1934 as the Thai United Church by a merger of several Protestant groups. Presbyterian was the largest of these groups , but the Lutherans from the German Marburger Mission was also included in the merger.
Now, th CCT has become the largest and strongest Protestant church in Thailand. It is composed of Thai, Chinese, Karen, and English-speaking congregations. The CCT has 60,000 members and it has been a member of the World Council of Churches since 1948. The total number of Protestants in Thailand is estimated to be 2 and 3% of the population.
The Church of Christ in Thailand founded the Payap University in Chiang Mai in 1973. It is the second largest city in Thailand, located in the northern part of the country. The McGilvary Faculty of Theology at Payap University is the theological training center for the CCT. In order to serve the needs of CCT churches and schools, especially in training Christian administrators and church musicians, Payap works closely with the CCT and local churches. The ELCA has sent teachers to the Faculty of Theology as well as short term English teachers. The ELCA has also been keen in supporting some of Payap's programs relating to communication and womens' leadership, and the development of faculty. It supports by providing scholarships for current junior faculty.
The Church of Christ in Thailand has also great contributions in the service of humanity. It has two major hospitals, in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. It is also maintaining a leprosy hospital in Chiang Mai. One presbytery of the church is particularly oriented to lepers and ex-lepers, along with other such isolated persons. The church is also serving the humanity by sponsoring dispensaries and a rehabilitation institute. Education, with primary and secondary schools, an agricultural program, and adult literacy are some other areas of service of CCT.
Thailand has seen the ever rising threat of HIV positive victims in the recent years. Aids has become a huge
huge and growing problem in Thailand, primarily because of the "sex industry" which exploits girls and women. The CCT has mobilized its support for home-based care for people with AIDS. It has adoped a holistic approach to deal with this serious growing problem. It seeks to assist people in realizing the abundant life which is Jesus' gift, in body, mind and spirit.
The Council of the Church of Christ and Affiliated Missions in Thailand receives missionaries of many different denominations. They are very well organized and are spreading their mission quite successfully. Pentecostal missions have been particularly successful in Thailand. Sometimes, they are even gaining converts from other churches.
